01The challenge
RESPILON’s edge is nanofiber technology, with credible applications across filtration, protection, health, pharma, defence and industrial R&D. That breadth reads like an advantage. Commercially it is the hard part.
- When a technology could matter to thousands of companies, not every relevant company is worth a conversation.
- A broad list in that position does not produce pipeline. It produces noise.
- Generic lead generation is close to worthless in a technical market.
02How we approached it
Instead of treating the market as one pool, we looked for companies where the technology had a believable commercial reason to matter now.
- Category and product surface — does the company ship something a membrane materially improves?
- Technical use case — filtration, protection, barrier performance, breathability.
- Industrial relevance — volume, manufacturing fit, whether a material change is even possible.
- Live R&D activity — is there an active reason to be evaluating advanced materials at all?
03Why it worked
A generic campaign asks how many replies it got. A routed system asks whether it created conversations that could become revenue.
In a technical B2B market one relevant conversation can be worth more than the entire cost of the route. A single pilot, technical evaluation or supply agreement justifies it. We did not sell a list and we did not spray the market.
